If you are a smoker, not only the lungs and airways are affected. Tobacco increases the risk of hypertension, atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular diseases, digestive problems, gum disease and infertility. It can be quite difficult to quit smoking, but you should know that besides nicotine patches and other solutions available in pharmacies, there are also natural remedies that can reduce the “appetite” for tobacco.
Horseradish
Drink two cups of horseradish infusion and cigarettes won't taste the same. It is prepared by adding 30 grams of crushed root in a liter of hot water. Cover and leave to infuse for several hours, then drink between meals.
Calamus
Calamus (Acorus calamus), also known as Sweet flag, is a reliable remedy. Chew (and spit, don't ingest) the root of the dried herb or consume daily an infusion of a spoonful of dried and powdered stem added to a glass of water.
Wolf's Claw
Wolf's Claw (Lycopodium clavatum), also known as Groundpine, Wolf’s Foot or Stag's-Horn clubmoss is also extremely efficient when consumed as an infusion which is prepared by adding 1-2 teaspoons of crushed herb to 200 ml boiling water. Drink to cups every day.
Sodium Bicarbonate
If you want to quickly get over your withdraw from nicotine, before every meal drink a glass of water in which you added a tablespoon of baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate).
Lobelia
Be careful, lobelia is toxic if consumed in large quantities and is not recommended for cardiac patients and pregnant women. It is recommended to consume 10 drops of plant extract to a glass of water daily.
