Relaxing at the office

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

Sometimes in the office you just sit in a chair for hours, and when you get up you are more tired than when you sat down. Sitting without movement breaks is not only tedious but also harmful: from spine disease to hemorrhoids, many diseases can afflict you simply from sitting in a chair all day. Here's what you can do:

Before starting work, organize: make a note of your tasks for the day and simply cross out accomplished ones. It will ease your workload and release a bit of stress.
Once every two hours, walk around, even a few steps. Take a couple of minutes to see a nice view or simply imagine one. It will also help with stress, but also keep you in shape and help your circulation.Twice every day, do a few minutes of exercise: turn your head, tilting it as much as you can so that the ear to be as close to the shoulder without having to lift your shoulders, first clockwise, then counterclockwise.
Sit properly in a chair, legs at a right angle, and tighten buttocks muscles, in halves of ten strains.
Lift your shoulders up and down, without standing or raising your hands: breathe deeply when lifting and exhale strongly when lifting the shoulders.

You will wind down and you can rest.Like almost all aromatic plants, marjoram is a great digestive. But it has another quality, extremely useful for new moms: it can soothe colic. Put a sterile warm infusion of 2-3 teaspoons of marjoram on the baby's tummy and wait for his/hers pain to dissipate.
